Emotional US Gig Pays Tribute To Americans
Last modified: 22 Sep 2001

Delirious? performed the first of two special concerts in Sacramento, California, on Friday (21st September). The concerts are part of the 'Harvest Crusade' event taking place in the Arco Arena. Delirious? played an emotional 30 minute set, starting with 'There is a light' as Martin held up a candle, this was followed by 'Did You Feel The Mountains?' and the new version of 'I Could Sing Of Your Love Forever' (taken from the forthcoming US album Deeper). 'White Ribbon Day' was next as Martin explained the significance of the song, written in 1997 to reflect on the violence of Northern Ireland. Next came 'History Maker' before the show ended with Martin playing the keyboard to accompany 'America' as a tribute to the recent events in New York. You can view the webcast from the gig on the Harvest website. Delirious? also play at the event on Saturday (22nd September).
