Background
This video was originally recorded to be shown during the Mezzamorphis UK Tour in May 1999. Sung entirely by Stu G, 'Pursuit of Happiness' later made it onto the b-side of the 'Its Ok' single in February 2000. The video was shot in and around the band's home town of Littlehampton and features them dressed up in sixties outfits and wigs. Without doubt the most amusing and fun of all the Delirious? videos, and very popular among the fans.

Video Commentary
Video still: Delirious arrive in a camper van Video still: Standing in front of beach huts Video still: Waiting by the side of a road Video still: On the beach running away from the tide Video still: Squeezing into a mini Video still: The ending caption 'Pursuit of Happiness' starts with an introductory look at each of the 'characters' - the members of Delirious? wearing wigs and brightly coloured shirts. As the opening title displays we see the band hanging out of a VW camper van, driving along the sea front. Next they all come running out of a bright blue and yellow beach hut.

We see them messing around on the beach in their bathing outfits, dancing in front of the beach huts with hola hoops, and playing with a beach ball. Next, three girls in bright dresses dance in time to the music and we see Delirious?, in full costume, playing their instruments.

The video continues to show the five playing around on the beach, practising their golf and messing around in front of the camera. The funniest moment of the video comes as we see Delirious? running around the corner of a building, closely followed by a chasing crowd of people. In their effort to get away from the crowd, the band pile into a mini, one by one, through the door and the window.

As the song ends, an ending caption shows the band members in their wigs alongside their character names:

Martin - 'Hillary'
Stew - 'Royce'
Tim - 'Wally'
Jon - 'Rupert'
Stu - 'Basil'
