Still No Dove Awards For Delirious? Added: 26 Apr 2002
Delirious? were over-looked, once again, at the US Dove Award ceremony in Tennesse last night
(25th April). They had been nominated for Best Modern Rock Song for 'God You Are My
God' (from the album 'Glo') and Best Short Form Music Video for 'Everything', but
both awards were given to other artists.
The band have yet to win a Dove Award despite amassing a total of 9 nominations over four successive years. Earlier in the evening Delirious? had performed 'I Could Sing of Your Love Forever' on stage at the 33rd Annual Dove Awards, which was broadcasted live from the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, to millions of TV viewers across the USA and Canada. The main winners at the Doves Awards this year were Michael W. Smith, who won 6 awards including Artist of the Year, and Third Day who won 5 awards including Group of the Year.
