Delirious? Prepare For Their South African Tour
Added: 08 Oct 2002

South Africa Tour 2002 Delirious? will shortly be flying out to South Africa in readiness for their first ever tour of South Africa. They will be performing live in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town. The tour will start on October 10th at the Rhema Church in Randburg, Johannesburg. Due to the huge demand for tickets Delirious? will play at the same venue again on October 11th as part of the 'Praise Africa' conference. A total of 17,000 people are expected to attend the Delirious? concerts over the two Johannesburg dates.

The band will then move on to the Durban Christian Centre in Mayville on October 12th where they will perform at the 5000 capacity 'Jesus Dome', supported by local band MIC. The final concert of the tour will be at the 'His People Christian Church' in Cape Town on October 13th. The tour is now almost entirely sold out.

During their visit to South Africa the band will also be revisiting the HIV care facility which they have been supporting through the Hope HIV charity. Stu, Jon and Tim visted the project in Soweto during February 2001 to see for themselves the work done by Hope HIV to help children infected and affected with HIV/AIDS. This trip will give the whole band an opportunity to see how the project has progressed since then.
