New Support Act Added For World Service Tour, Tickets Selling Well Added: 17 Sep 2004
With the eagerly awaited UK World Service Tour now less than
three weeks away, a second support artist for the tour has been
signed up. It had already been confirmed that Delirious? would
be supported on the tour by 'The Rock And Roll Worship Circus',
but now 23-year-old US rock singer Taylor Sorensen has been added
to the tour's line up.
Taylor got his break when Michael W. Smith signed him up to the Rocktown Records label. 'The Overflow', Taylor's full-length debut album, is released in the UK by Fierce Distribution tomorrow (18th September) after grabbing the attention of Delirious. Clearly impressed by the young singer, Martin Smith explains why the band wanted Taylor Sorensen to support them: "Every now and again, someone comes along who makes a record that you want to listen to from start to finish. Taylor has got something to say and these songs go beneath the surface of popular Christianity to help tackle the 'thinking mans' questions". Tickets for the UK tour, which starts in Portsmouth on 5th October, are said to be selling extremely well. Fierce boss Jon Brown told this website that the Maidstone and Dunfermline venues are likely to sell-out in the next few days. Ticket vendors SeeTickets, who are the online ticket agency for the tour, say that they are currently selling more Delirious? tickets than for any other music concert, outselling even the 'Manic Street Preachers'. Buy tickets whilst you still can from SeeTickets and find out more about the tour on the 'World Service Tour' page. Related Links: 'World Service Tour' Page |
