World Service UK Tour Comes To An End After 14 Successful Gigs

Delirious? on stage during the World Service UK Tour

The 'World Service UK Tour 2004' came to an end on Saturday night (23rd October) after three weeks and 14 hugely successful concerts around the country. The tour has been hailed by both band and fans as one of the best yet from Delirious?, with the stunning mix of old and new songs perfectly accompanied by superb lights and videos, and two extremly popular support artists.

During the tour, US-based Taylor Sorensen and The Rock and Roll Worship Circus opened the concerts before Delirious? took to the stage to perform every song from their 'World Service' album in most instances. The tour also saw the band performing a well received medley of older songs, such as 'Happy Song' and 'King of Fools'. Several new videos provided entertaining visual backgrounds to the songs, the most memorable of which was the moving accompaniment to 'Mountains High' which featured an animated character climbing a mountain.

Another highlight of the tour was the acoustic set which featured in the middle of each concert, with stripped-down versions of songs like 'Bicycle Gasoline' and 'All The Way'. Many of the venues for the tour completely sold-out, such was the demand for tickets. The final night of the tour, at Belfast's Waterfront Hall, was broadcast live on UCB Radio and via the Internet, allowing fans from all over the world to tune into the live concert finale.
