Martin Smith Duets With Taylor Sorensen On 'Exodus' Compilation Added: 08 Dec 2004
A recently re-released compilation CD, titled 'Exodus',
features Martin Smith singing a duet with US singer Taylor
Sorensen. Martin and Taylor join together on a song called
'Sing (Or The Rocks Will Get To)', originally recorded by
Taylor on his 'The Overflow' album earlier this year. Martin
recorded his vocals for the song in America back in July.
Taylor also recently supported Delirious? on their 'UK
World Service Tour' in October.
'Exodus' is a various artists compilation of original songs that was first released in 1998, featuring nine new tracks by artists such as Michael W. Smith, DC Talk, Jars of Clay and Sixpence None The Richer. It won the Dove Award for 'Special Event Album of the Year' in 1999. 'Exodus' has now been re-released featuring all of the original tracks newly remastered, plus three new bonus tracks from artists Nirva, Taylor Sorensen (featuring Martin Smith) and the Robbie Seay Band. Nirva's appearance on 'Exodus' is in the form of a cover version of the Delirious? song 'Jesus Blood'. The original 'Exodus' album took two years to put together and was produced by Michael W. Smith. Explaining the re-release Michael said, "'Jesus Blood' is a Martin Smith song that we sing at our church all the time, and I thought of that song and Nirva immediately when we were thinking about re-releasing Exodus. Taylor Sorensen is Rocketown's newest artist, and I'm still blown away by his track 'Sing.' It's a very unique, mature song, and another great addition to Exodus." The new version of 'Exodus' is available now from the Fierce Shop priced at £12. Related Links: 'Exodus' Album |
