Delirious? Launch The Mission Bell Tour In Southampton Added: 12 Oct 2006
Delirious? kicked-off their 'Mission Bell European Tour' last
night (11th October) to a sell-out crowd at Southampton Guildhall.
The band begun the show with 'Here I Am Send Me' and performed
10 songs from latest album 'The Mission Bell', including
'Miracle Maker', 'All This Time', 'Take Off My Shoes' and
'Our God Reigns'. The concert also featured some stunning
visuals to songs such as 'Paint The Town Red' and 'History Maker'.
Other highlights of the tour's opening night included a few old favourites, such as Metamorphis and the band performing a comedy version of Happy Song, with each of them playing their own keyboard. Strategically placed mini cameras around the stage displayed shots of each of the band on the large video screen. The band were supported by British singer/songwriter Tim Hughes who performed an extraordinarily well received 40minute set. The 'Mission Bell European Tour' continues with 12 further dates around the UK, ending in Reading on 1st November, before heading into mainland Europe for an additional 13 concerts. Delirious? will be visiting Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Switzerland, Germany, Netherlands and Austria, before ending in France for a concert in Paris on 19th November. This 26-date tour will be the biggest tour the band have ever undertaken and brings the total number of concerts they will have performed in 2006 to more than 90, spread over 24 different countries.
