'Paint The Town Red' Enters The UK Singles Chart At Number 56 The latest Delirious? single, 'Paint The Town Red' has entered the official UK singles Chart at number 56. The song, taken from the band's forthcoming new album 'The Mission Bell', was released on CD-single and as an iTunes download on 10th October. This was the first CD-single the band have released in the UK for nearly four years.

Three thousand copies of the 'Paint The Town Red' CD-single were made availale in HMV and Virgin Megastores, and for the first time ever, Delirious? also released the song via popular online download service iTunes. The song had done exceptionally well on iTunes throughout the week, making the Top 15 daily download chart on several occasions.

Unfortunatley the single failed to enter the Top 40 of the UK singles chart, which combines CD sales and online downloads. This meant that Delirious? did not get mentioned on the chart rundown show on Radio 1. 'Paint The Town Red' was the ninth single that Delirious? have released in the UK. The band had their biggest chart success in 1999 when 'See The Star' reached number 16.
