Delirious in 5d Global Hypercolour (45 mins long)
Record labels aren't usually run like democracies, but the last few months down at Furious haven't been exactly usual. First there was the UK release of their much awaited album Glo. Things went mad. Very mad. The buzz was immense and the fans just couldn't seem to get enough. Not content with the new material there were thousands of requests for the crew to bring out a handy collection of the band's videos. And so they have.
It was back in 1997 that Furious released 'A View From The Terraces', based around footage from their first major UK tour. Mixing interviews, backstage footage and the three promos then recorded, the video was a smash success. But things have changed and in the years that have passed the band have released plenty more singles and turned out plenty of promos to go alongside. So here they are.
The video will be released on December 4th 2000, and you don't need us to tell you that it's an absolutely ideal Christmas gift. There's a special video case for the keen collector and more importantly it includes the as-yet unseen promo to Everything, the first single to be released in America from Glo. There's also the chance to get stuck into Gravity, Delirious' most ambitious project yet. Also included are:
    Deeper
    Promise
    Sanctify (live at Wembley Stadium)
    Pursuit of Happiness
    See The Star
    It's OK
Delirious have always deserved their reputation as a band who deliver the goods when playing live, and it's not just their skills as musicians that make d:gigs such experiences to remember. The whole band write, record, sing and play their songs with the 5-d experience at the front of their minds, a fact that remains equally true when in front of a live crowd or producing a pop promo. The energy and power of the songs when combined with the visual side of things produces breathtaking results, as anyone who has seen the stunning It's OK will testify.
With a band like Delirious you just can't help thinking about what things look like. Whether it's bundling up visual treats with the tunes while they're on tour or taking a mainline straight to the heart via their inspirational videos, it's an experience best gone into with eyes wide open. The truth about d:boys is that they are larger than life, making so much more than just music. Get the whole picture here and now with this collection of all their videos so far. Plus, as a special treat this is your chance to get some inside info on the band with previously unreleased interview and backstage footage. And if all that isn't enough at least it's a handy way to review the ups and downs of the boys' hairstyles over the years.
The story so far... It all started with a spiky-haired Martin getting dizzy on a London rooftop with Deeper. Then everyone started falling over spontaneously in the slow-mo Promise. Recovering their sense of balance the lads went for a kick-about in the park with Sanctify and found their mojo with the kitsch-fest Pursuit of Happiness. Later we had the breakfast table hi-jinx of See The Star and a new era dawned. With Gravity the band created a complex little number that effortlessly mixed pop with intrigue. It's OK took them still further with a moody, gut-wrenching 3 minutes' worth of film that perfectly matched the song. Finally we come to Everything, the first video outing from the groundbreaking album Glo. Could this be the way of the future?
